During the two-part workshops concerning integrated city planning, representatives of seven Polish cities participating in MULTIPLY project were working on spatial concepts that responded to previously defined challenges and aimed to help to achieve their set goals.

The first part of these unusual workshops took place on 9th November 2020. Due to the current pandemic situation in Poland and Europe participants met with the experts from Netherlands online, via the Zoom platform. Two of the project partners – PosadMaxwan and Generation.Energy are planning offices, experienced in implementation of the Dutch idea of city planning, specializing in an integrated urban planning. During the workshops, their representatives shared their experiences in matters of an integrated urban planning. At the beginning, after a short introduction and presentation of examples of projects accomplished by PosadMaxwan and Generation.Energy, each municipality had a chance to present their challenges and targets to the group. The main part of the workshop was the brainstorm, during which participants shared with each other concepts, ideas and answers to the challenges defined before.

Over the next two weeks, Dutch experts worked on creating concepts concerning the spatial character of each city. Thanks to the exchanges of ideas and observations, and also the European experiences of our experts, at the end of the workshops, two scenarios were created for each city. Participants had a chance to work on them on  23rd November, during the second workshop session. Each scenario contains conclusion, insights and a list of the stakeholders, to help implement integrated approach and the project concept developed for given region by PosadMaxwan and Generation.Energy.
